Answer #1:

I know of no political turmoil going on in Krabi, so why not go. The protest in Bangkok should be over in the next few days, even if it wasn't it's not going to affect you going to Krabi. If your so worried just arrive in Bangkok and fly direct to Krabi or spend a night at a hotel close to the airport like the Queens Garden Resort. Click Here I am sure the protesters will not try to close down the airport like the yellow belly shirts did.

Bangkok is still a safe city to visit, only problem for tourist is traffic delays in certain areas if the protests are around. Click Here

Answer #2:

There is no problem in Krabi or Phuket also. So you can go there without any cause of worry.

Answer #3:

Not likely to be any problems once you get to Krabi. Only trouble could be disruption of some transportation, particularly in and around Bangkok, and even roads going in and out of the city as there are checkpoints and some massive traffic congestion in some areas. Hopefully there is no airport invasion again. Being stuck in Thailand isn't so bad, but being stuck in the airport sucks.

Answer #4:

I live in Bangkok, and agree with the above answers. You should have no problems. Enjoy!
