Answer #1:

I never heard of anything bad about it. I'd just make sure you keep him/her away from any animals and wash your hands if you touch anything. Just do what you do to protect your kids, you obviously did just fine with your 3 yr old, and you should be fine.

Good luck and hope you guys have fun tomorrow San Diego is nice!

Answer #2:

Baby should be fine. The only thing that I would worry about is sunscreen. It can get hot in San Diego, and the sun is actually stronger then it feels sometime. I'd check with your baby's doctor and ask if the little one is old enough for sunscreen. If not, you'll have to be very careful about keeping baby covered and shaded.

Answer #3:

Unless you are having your newborn feed the animals, I can't see any reason why it would be risky to have it at the zoo. I've taken both of my kids to the SD Zoo when they were infants.

Answer #4:

Don't use sunscreen,it's not safe to use til 6 months. Put her a little hat on. Make sure you don't get her to close to the animals! Hope you have tons of fun!!

Answer #5:

I wouldn't even take a vacation this year let alone go to the zoo because the baby is still considered a newborn and his or her immune system is immature and he or she can easily pick up colds and viruses. Also you will be out in the sun and you can't put sunscreen on a baby until 6 months of age. Your baby needs to stay at home until at least 6 weeks of age. Put off your vacation till next year when baby is older.

Answer #6:

Actually if you get an infant approved sunblock (like Waterbabies Pure and Natural) they are approved on the bottle for babies under 6 months. The reason being that they use zinc oxide rather than chemicals that absorb through the skin.

I took my son to the zoo with my daughter at a month. He rode in our Ergo during the entire time, she rode in the stroller. It was a great trip, the only negative being he got a bit hot.

Answer #7:

In my opinion, I would not... Only because our doctor doesn't even want our child around "other animals"... that we don't have already... There are some really nasty diseases out there, the chances of your child getting them isn't astronomically high, but there is always a chance... If you do decide to take them, then I would just double up on the germ x and clean everybody's hands often. Honestly though, it's the parents choice... I'd say as long as the baby got your colostrum, then they would be safer then if not getting it at all... Good luck...

Answer #8:

Your baby will be fine! He or she will probably just be sleeping in his stroller the whole time.

Answer #9:

i think you should be fine as long as you use good judgement like not letting them over heat or any thing but u could use a stroller and use your infant carrier to keep sun off and it says not to use sunscreen until 6 months but my pediatrician said it was fine to use in small amounts if needed and as far as taking your little one out according to the( Book) what to expect in the first years) you've taken your baby outside already once you have left the hospital and you could have continued to take him/her out everyday sense a full-term healthy baby is able to handle outings so as long as you havent been directed by your pediatrician to keep your little one in i would say go for it and have a great time.

Answer #10:
